Brad is from an English/Finnish family of hardworking people located in the Eastern Townships located on the Canada/US border in a sleepy town called Stanstead. From a long line of builders and carptenters he comes by construction honesty and had been hands on with all aspects of the construction process his entire life. After graduating from Stanstead College, he migrated east to attend Mount Allison University. Upon Graduating, he took a job as an Energy Advisor with Sustainable Housing performing residential energy audits throughout Nova Scotia. He retired only to pursue a 10+ year long (somewhat worthwhile) music career where he eared his keep by day fine tuning his finesse skills as a carpenter/ cabinetmaker. During this time, he completed more than 150 small projects worked extensively as a freelance carpenter primarily on residential renovation projects.
When he retired from the music industry, he organically grew his small one man operation into a formal business with 12+ employees and made the gradual transition from a carpenter into a contractor with a nicely appointed millwork shop. In that time, he also managed to complete an extensive list of required industry courses but most notably a Master Certificate in Project Management and an Executive Certificate in Construction Leadership from Dalhousie University.
With a good eye for tasteful detail, an inherent ability to work with a team, help craft a vision and see it through to fruition, he has always been fundamentally motivated to produce good quality lasting work in a very simple, straightforward, open and honest manner. Above all, he has been most fortunate to find a fantastic team of creative, professional and talented people to work with along the way.
